Piti Thai Restaurant

The food was excellent, especially the prawns and soft-shell crab. The prawns were impressively large and very fresh. The sauce was rich and delicious, which really elevated the dishes. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere and is nicely decorated, making it a pleasant place to dine. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Well done, and thank you!

Food was spectacular. Honestly some of the best Thai I’ve had in the UK. Everything arrived hot and freshly cooked, which sounds basic but so many places still get that wrong. It was good to see real care put into the starters platter rather than the usual filler. The prawn toast and satay chicken both stood out, properly crisp, well seasoned, and clearly made to order. My weeping tiger was excellent. Tender rib eye with a punchy tamarind sauce that had proper heat and acidity, not just sweetness. The beef short rib curry was another highlight. Rich, deep, and slow cooked until the meat gave up without a fight. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. My only note is around cutlery handling. Staff were placing knives and forks with fingers touching the eating ends. Small detail, but it’s the kind of thing some guests notice and it chips away at an otherwise polished experience. Overall though, seriously good food and absolutely worth going back.

Amazing Thai food, fresh, full of flavour, and cooked properly. Staff were genuinely lovely and made us feel very welcome. Such a great spot for Saffron Walden, highly recommend and will definitely come back.

The best Thai food we've had since leaving Bangkok 6 years ago. Hospitality and service were impeccable and the food is incredibly authentic. Khao soi and the chive pancakes particular highlights and the mango sticky rice was superb. We will be coming again and again and again and recommending to everyone we know. Such a wonderful addition to the restaurant scene here in Walden. Well done, Piti!

Finally tried this new Thai restaurant last night and all 4 of our party were very impressed. The menu was full of things we wanted to taste but we opted for a few starters and 4 main dishes. Ginger fish was fresh and the flavours were spot on. Pork belly was sooo soft and hit the spot. However the star of the show was the Soft shell crab yellow curry. Highly recommend this. Great service too considering they were fairly busy for a Wednesday night. Hopefully they will add some more decor and make it nice and cosy, but it is certainly looking good for this place so far. Will be back to try more in the future.

Thought we'd try as it's new open and couldn't fault anything, the food was delicious and fresh, staff were friendly and attentive even though they were busy with it being a Saturday night, and it's reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend, all very impressed and will definitely go again!

Went on a weekday for lunch and had a chance to chat with the new owner, who was very welcoming and friendly. The set lunch was excellent value - two courses for under £20 per person. We had chicken satay and crispy pork belly for starters - the chicken satay had a lovely aroma and was cooked just right, while the crispy pork belly was a delight and very moreish. Followed with the Chiang Mai curry noodles - we were excited to try a northern Thai dish and it certainly met our expectations. The nest of crispy noodles on top provided lots of lovely crunch in contrast to the springy noodles in the curry broth. It was my first time having such a dish and I would happily have it again. The dish came with a side of pickled veg which I particularly enjoyed and when the owner saw this she generously brought out more to our table - now that's good service!
